About FPL Brain

What it is

FPL Brain is an algorithm that picks the best £100m Fantasy Premier League team it can find for every gameweek, and updates it through the week as prices and team news change. The site shows that team for the next gameweek and for the next three, projected points for every player, and lets you compare players and try your own transfers.

How the projections work

Each player's projection comes from his underlying numbers (expected goals, expected assists, defensive actions and minutes), how likely he is to start, the strength of the teams he faces, and FPL's own scoring rules. The team is then chosen to get the most projected points within the £100m budget and FPL's squad rules.

Projections are estimates, not guarantees, and this isn't betting advice.

Who runs it

FPL Brain is an independent project, built and run by a Fantasy Premier League player.

Newsletter and X

The team, the captain pick, a Wildcard squad and differentials (the best projected players under 5% owned) go out in the FPL Brain newsletter every gameweek. Weekly teams and results are posted on X at @thefplbrain.
